Master Kush

Legend has it that Master Kush was born and bred at the top of a residential building in the Bijlmar area of Amsterdam, for which it was initially nicknamed "High Rise." There are 2 phenotypic variants of what the locals in Amsterdam consider a truly a vintage strain, both emanating from legendary parents. The lineage of the first phenotype is traced back to two landrace indicas from two distinct regions of the Hindu Kush mountain range, which stretches along the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Seeds of this phenotype can be purchased from various seed banks around the world, however the White Label Seed Company in Holland is known for having authentic genetics. A second phenotype, credited to the world-famous Nirvana Seeds (also headquartered in Amsterdam) is said to be derived from a cross between Hindu Kush indica and Skunk #1.
Master Kush delivered full body relaxation with a touch of blissful euphoria. It begins with a lightly energetic buzz, which soon after gives way to the sedating indica effects, lulling the user into a soothing slumber. Consequently, it is recommended for evening consumption and can be an effective natural sleep aid or treat stress-related conditions.
It is known for its pungent and distinctive fragrance, punctuated by earthy-citrus notes that carry a hint of sweetness. The aroma spreads instantly throughout a room the moment a bag of Master Kush is opened. As for the taste, users report a woody sweetness that is smooth, balanced, and very pleasant.
Visually, Master Kush is quite impressive, with buds that are comprised of rich, green colas as dark as kale and often have trails of deep purple on the leaves. The pistils range from a bright tangerine to a burnt-orange, rust-color. Indicative of the Indica plant, the flowers are condensed and plump as they come from short, stout plants.
Master Kush won 1st Place Hydro at the 1994 Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam.
