Bubba Kush
Bubba Kush is an 80% indica-dominant hybrid considered to be from Los Angeles, California. It was bred from a cross between a local favorite OG Kush and a phenotype of Northern Lights, which was, as the legend has it, brought back to California from New Orleans.
In laboratory tests, Bubba Kush has been measured to contain 14% - 22% THC and its effects produce a sedating, yet functional experience. Bubba Kush has the typical physical characteristics of indica plants, with small-to-medium buds that are highly dense and occasionally display shades of purple. There is a lot of resin due to a generous trichome coating on both the inside and the outside of the bud. The terpene profile is complex, combining the aroma of coffee and berries with sweet, woody, and fruity notes. When lit, the smoke from Bubba Kush tastes spicy and can even burn the lungs, so some prefer to filter it through bongs while others use a vape.
Unquestionably ideal for nighttime use, this highly fragrant strain and its relaxing high can be a great way to unwind after a long day. It leads to a state of calm and comfort with varying degrees of couch lock and sociability. Medically, using Bubba Kush has been shown effective for soothing chronic pain, helping reduce stress, stimulating appetite, and providing relief from insomnia. Side effects of Bubba Kush could include cerebral disorientation and fogginess.
Bubba Kush is recommended to cultivation newcomers as it is relatively easy to grow. Capable of growing indoors or outside, it flowers in 55-65 days but produces a slightly lower than average yield.
