Cherry AK-47
Cherry AK-47, also known as Cherry AK, is the poster-child pheno to the original AK-47. Like its parent strain, it’s 65% sativa-dominant. Lab results show it’s total THC testing around 16% with low counts of CBD at around 0.5%. Typically Cherry AK-47’s nugs are trichome-rich, dense, lime green in color with tannish-orange hairs. Some claim that it’s aroma is reminiscent of ripe black Cherries, but the originator of AK-47 begs to differ and says most of the Cherry phenos have a sour, fruity aroma. It’s a great high for morning use or to smoke throughout the day providing creative sparks with potent cerebral effects.
Cherry AK-47 made its way into the cannabis scene in the around 2006 and has become a favorite amongst California dispensaries.
This sativa leaning strain has a surprisingly short flowering period, averaging 53-63 days for indoor grows and harvests in the middle to the end of October outdoors. Cherry AK-47 grows to medium heights, making it suitable for indoor or home cultivation, and just like it’s predecessor, it is a great strain for the amateur grower, paying off the effort with similarly high yields. This pheno is said to be found once in every hundred seeds germinated.
