Tangie

Tangie is a 70% sativa dominant strain bred by Crockett of Crockett Family Farms. Originating in the high Sierras of California, the credit for this creation is often mistakenly attributed to DNA Genetics, however, Crockett gifted DNA their first cut of Tangie, from where it went on to win numerous awards and earn its noteriety. It's lineage is a cross between 2 hybrid strains: Skunk 1 and California Orange. Tangie has been successfully exported all over the world and is quite popular in North America. The strain has a legendary reputation in the marijuana community, having been around since early 1995. It was created as homage to Tangerine Dream, which shot to popularity in the mid 90s. Tangie is among the oldest sativa strains and maintains its citrus heritage, which is easily detectable in its pungent tangerine aroma. In 2013, Tangie won first place in the sativa category at Amsterdam’s High Times Cannabis Cub.

Tangie is known for having a Tetra Hydro Cannabinol (THC) concentration over 19%, with CBDs around 0.09%. It is expected to give its users energy, boost creativity, uplift the mind and bring on a sense of euphoria, which keeps the user feeling happy. Its medical applications include treating anxiety, depression, nausea, chronic pain and a lack of appetite. Tangie is recommended for morning or afternoon use so that its sativa elements can give the user a buzz to get through the day.

Tangie is best grown outdoors, where it develops into a tall plant of average yield that typically flowers in 5 or 6 weeks. If grown indoors, it needs to be put in soil, not hydroponics. The buds are highly resinous and sticky, light green in color and are covered by tiny orange hairs.
