King Louis XIII
King Louis XIII (also referred to as King Louis OG) contains over 75% indica and is derived from a rare cut of OG Kush crossed with L.A. Confidential. Initially created in California, it has since become one of the most popular OG Kush phenotypes throughout the west coast. It is a potent strain with THC levels typically testing well over 20%, the highest measuring at 28%. It's CBD content varies between 0.1%-0.4%.
As a heavy indica, King Louis OG is not a strain for amateur smokers as it will overwhelm the senses fast. It is recommended for night time use and will knock even those suffering from insomnia. Its other medical uses include treating chronic pain, muscle spasms, nausea and anxiety. Bloodshot eyes and dry mouth are common side effects, and some may also experience light dizziness and paranoia.
It has a very powerful smell (much like King Louis did) that's characterized by its sour aroma. It produces clouds of dense smoke with hints of pine and citrus notes. It takes some intermediate gardening skills to produce and after 8-9 weeks, produces a moderate yield of very dense nugs.
