Valley Girl, also known as Valley Girl OG, is an evenly balanced sativa and indica hybrid, although some strains are bred to be 60% sativa dominant. It’s so named because it was originally created in the San Fernando Valley in California in 1999 by Archive Seed Bank. Its parents are SFV OG (a hybrid) and Face Off OG (an indica), two potent strains that lead to high THC levels in the offspring. Valley Girl has THC levels ranging between 19% to 25% with minimal levels of CBD (under 0.1%) which induces cerebral euphoria and full body relaxation. The stimulation created by this strain makes it a good choice for daytime use. It may be fitting for social occasions as well, as it can prompt a desire for conversation. Valley Girl has a woodsy, sweet, spicy, piney, and earthy scent and tastes sweet and citrusy.

Patients use this strain to treat chronic pain, inflammation, headaches or migraines, depression, stress, and ADD. Positive effects include a boost in creativity, an immediate onset of euphoria, and a happy, relaxed, and uplifted mood. Users say that it’s a happy and relaxing high for creative experiences or just for working around the outside. The buds tend to be dense and rounded nugs with rich, reddish and brownish hairs. There is also a rich coat of crystals, which would suggest the strain’s potency. Valley Girl flowers into medium sized plants with long branches and large yields. The branches of this plant do require some upkeep shortly before harvest, as they do get very heavy and require some support.
