Green Crack
Green Crack, aka Cush with a “C,” not to be mistaken for Kush with a “K,” is a well balanced hybrid. The strain’s potency averages in the high teens, but in isolated tests has reached a high of 20% THC. The CBD concentration is minimal, maxing out around 0.20%. This strain provides an energizing, uplifting and very invigorating mental buzz that’s perfect for daytime. It is fantastic for treating fatigue, depression, loss of appetite, or simply unwinding from some stress.
The story behind this strain stems back to 1989, when a breeder named CecilC from Athens, Ohio crossed Skunk #1 with an Unknown Indica, creating a strain he called “Cush.” In 1994, clones of this strain were shipped to Los Angeles to a grower identified as Bunz, who supposedly sold some nugs to the hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg, who later expressed his habitual love for the strain, changing its name to Green Crack.
Green Crack is known for it’s bright, lime green buds and bright orange hairs. On the nose it’s sweet and fruity and on the palate it’s sweet with earthy undertones. Despite the scary sounding name, Green Crack is a great choice for a novice user.
Green Crack is a fairly easy plant to cultivate and it is very resilient in warm environments. It has a quick flowering cycle (just 53 days) and generates high yields when grown indoors.
