Duke Nukem
Duke Nukem is a 65%/35% sativa dominant hybrid, crossed at the hands of Northern California's Cabin Fever Seed Breeders. Duke Nukem (sometimes referred to by a short-handed DN) is the birth child of Chemmando (male) and Chernobyl (female). Named for an alien-exterminating video game character, Duke Nukem packs a respectable punch with a THC potency in the low 20s. Its effects generate bouts of laughter, sparks of creativity and an overall cheerful mood. For its upbeat properties, DN is often appreciated during morning and afternoon hours, but it can be recommended for mostly any daytime hour. It’s excellent for easy going pastimes such as playing video games, listening to music or watching films, or it can even add some sparks to a social gathering.
Medicinally speaking, Duke Nukem aids patients suffering from headaches and migraines, thus making activities that involve stimulation of auditory and visual senses pleasurable. Its energy-inspiring attributes make it helpful for those that suffer from chronic fatigue as well. This strain also operates as a tool for mood enhancement and the treatment of stress and anxiety. Lastly and unsurprisingly, Duke Nukem can also encourage one’s appetite.
Terpenes traits yield scents of earthiness, tropical fruits, and citrus notes of orange and lemon, followed by a slightly aggressive skunkiness. The flavor outturn is predominantly orange and skunky.
The mother plant, Chernobyl, is known to flourish into an array of colors--which are eclipsed by a coat of frost. When grown outdoors, the plethora of colors is most abundant. Chernobyl is known for growing into a lean, thin bush, but the breeders hired the Chemmando father to amplify density. This is a great plant for the fledgling grower as it is responsive to both indoor and outdoor growing, exercises strong resistance to pesticides and yields can be impressively high. Duke Nukem's two most notable phenotypes are Chernobyl’s thin leaves and Chemmando’s fat, wide leaves. The plants that adopt more of the Chemmando features will stay medium height with approximately a 50% stretch. Those emulating the Chernobyl phenos will grow as tall as they are allowed and are capable of growing to ¾ their original height. However, both phenos have a flowering period of ~69 days.
